Lot’s Wife is the official student magazine of Monash University’s Clayton Campus, and features exciting new writing by Monash students. Lot’s Wife is distributed in print four times a semester, and is freely available to all students, staff and visitors to the University. The online version of the magazine is updated regularly and can be found at http://lotswife.com.au/.

Lot’s Wife was founded in 1964, and for over 50 years Lot’s Wife has upheld the core tenet ‘Never Look Back’ in its ongoing pursuits as a stimulating, progressive and lively student magazine. Lot’s Wife publishes pieces about political, cultural and creative life at Monash University and is looking for works produced by students, for students.

We thrive on student submissions, however do not sanction the publishing of certain objectionable material. The views expressed herein do not necessarily reflect the views of the editors or the Monash Student Association.

Thanks for deciding to submit to Lot's Wife. We are super duper glad you want to be involved with us. We just want to give you some handy tips before you submit!

We LOVE interesting ideas and original creative pieces. However, we also really like high quality writing which is grammar checked and stylistically on point. To make things easier for both you, and us, please consult our style guide prior to submitting.

We will do our best to get back to everybody ASAP, however please be patient with us as it may take some time for us to get through a large volume of submissions.

Please note, whilst all writing is valuable content warnings must be included in submissions and not all work will be accepted.

We LOVE original artwork and illustrations, especially when they are produced by students. However, we also really like it if there is a sense of balance and cohesion between the written work and imagery in our magazine. Please keep in mind that our magazine is directed at students and avoid submitting content which may be interpreted as racist, sexist, ableist, or otherwise discriminatory/ inappropriate.
